Postage and Packing
All orders are wrapped and packed securely to prevent the artwork from being damaged in delivery.
Shipping is included in the price of all original art and Giclée prints within the United Kingdom. Shipping charges apply to all products delivered to the UK and will be added at checkout based on the delivery address.
Items sent within the UK are sent by Royal Mail. Original art is sent via Signed For Delivery, so your order will be insured and protected. Someone will need to sign for your parcel.
Paintings
Standard Delivery is free within the UK. All orders are wrapped and packed securely to prevent the artwork from being damaged in delivery. All original artworks are sent and insured. Tracking will be provided on the fulfilment of the order. If shipping outside of the UK, you may be subject to additional taxes, please see below for further details. Giclée Prints
Giclée Prints are wrapped in acid-proof tissue paper and rolled in a tube. All artworks are sent via Royal Mail. Orders will be processed within 14 days. If shipping outside of the UK, you may be subject to additional taxes. Please see below for further details.
Global Shipping
Shipping internationally is not included in the price of original art. Shipping charges apply to all other products and will be added at checkout based on the delivery address. All artworks can be shipped globally. Please contact me directly for a quote. We can cover over 200 countries worldwide, and the artworks are fully insured when travelling. See below for details of specific artwork packaging and lead times.
Taxes
If you would like to purchase one of my artworks from a country outside the UK, please be aware that there may be a tax to pay on the collection of the artwork. The level of tax depends on each country’s trading relationship with the UK. Your local postal service or local government website can provide more information. Typically, artworks have a very low rate of tax, but this varies from country to country.
International Custom Charges
If you are outside the UK, you may be charged taxes and duties when your parcel arrives. This is your responsibility to pay. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office to learn more.
Delivery Times
Nigel will contact you with an estimated delivery date for all original paintings.
Delivery Terms
We will deliver the Goods to the Delivery Location by the time or within the agreed period or, failing any agreement, without undue delay and, in any event, not more than 30 days after the day on which the Contract is entered into.
In any case, regardless of events beyond our control, if we do not deliver the Goods on time, you can (in addition to any other remedies) treat the Contract at an end if:
We have refused to deliver the Goods, or if delivery on time is essential, taking into account all the relevant circumstances at the time the Contract was made, or you said to us before the Contract was made that delivery on time was essential; or after we have failed to deliver on time, you have specified a later period that is appropriate to the circumstances, and we have not delivered within that period.
If you treat the Contract at an end, we will (in addition to other remedies) promptly return all payments made under the Contract.
If you were entitled to treat the Contract at an end, but do not do so, you are not prevented from cancelling the Order for any Goods or rejecting Goods that have been delivered and if you do this, we will (in addition to other remedies) without delay return all payments made under the Contract for any such cancelled or rejected Goods. If the Goods have been delivered, you must return them to us or allow us to collect them from you, and we will pay the costs.
If any Goods form a commercial unit (a unit is a commercial unit if the division of the unit would materially impair the value of the goods or the character of the unit), you cannot cancel or reject the Order for some of those Goods without also cancelling or rejecting the Order for the rest of them.
If goods are to be delivered outside the UK, you may need to pay import duties or other taxes. You are responsible for paying any import duties due on Goods supplied by Nigel Haward.
You agree we may deliver the goods in instalments if we suffer a shortage of stock or for other genuine and fair reasons, subject to the above provisions and provided you are not liable for extra charges.
If you or your nominee fail to take delivery of the Goods at the Delivery Location through no fault of ours, we may charge the reasonable costs of storing and redelivering them.
After delivery or customer collection, the goods become your responsibility. You must, if reasonably practicable, examine the Goods before accepting them.
Returns
I take pride in creating high-quality artworks that meet and exceed our collectors' expectations. If a print or relief arrives damaged, I am happy to offer a refund. Refunds for reasons other than damage will be at my discretion. A two-week return policy applies for paintings if they are returned in their original condition and pass my inspection. Taxes paid at duty and shipping will not be refunded.
If you are unhappy with your Giclée print purchase, please contact the studio within 14 days of receipt to arrange a return.
A full refund will be processed once the artwork is safely returned to the studio in perfect condition.
Unfortunately, commissioned pieces cannot be returned.
If you have received Goods in connection with the Contract that you have cancelled, you must send back the Goods without delay, and in any event, not later than 14 days from the day you communicate to us your cancellation of this Contract.
The deadline is met if you send back the Goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You agree to bear the cost of returning the Goods.
